Current Wind Project

Eight Point Wind Energy Center

Eight Point Wind Farm with 31 wind turbines was completed in early 2023 and generates 101.81 MW onshore wind power. It is located in the towns of Greenwood and West Union in Steuben County, New York.

Operational since Spring 2023.

High River Energy Center

The High River Energy Center is a proposed 90-megawatt photovoltaic solar energy generating facility located on private land in the Town of Florida in Montgomery County.

Future planned Solar Projects

Watkins Glen Energy Center

Watkins Glen International announced plans for a 50-megawatt solar energy center to be built at the Watkins Glen racetrack located in the Town of Dix in Schuyler County, NY. When completed, The Glen will house the largest solar field located at a racetrack in the United States.

Garnet Energy Center

Garnet Energy Center is a proposed 200 MW PV solar energy generating facility with 20 megawatts of energy storage located in the town of Conquest in Cayuga County, NY.

Excelsior Energy Center

Located in the Town of Byron in Genesee County, NY, the Excelsior Energy Center project is a proposed 280-megawatt photovoltaic solar energy generating facility with 20 megawatts of energy storage.

Trelina Solar Energy Center

The Trelina Solar Project is a proposed 80-megawatt photovoltaic solar energy generating facility to be located in the Town of Waterloo in Seneca County, NY.

North Side Energy Center is a 180 MW solar PV power project planned in the Towns of Massena, Brasher, and Norfolk in St. Lawrence County, NY.

Battery Storage Projects

East Hampton Battery Energy Storage Center

East Hampton Energy Storage Center, LLC is a 5 MW, 8 Hour (Lithium Ion Battery) a 4,100-square-foot battery storage facility In Operation. The facility has the ability to power approximately 5,000 homes, providing as much as eight hours of critical back-up power to the electrical grid. The facility draws power from the grid during off-peak hours.

The project was commissioned in 2018.

Montauk Battery Energy Storage Center

Long Island Solar Generation, LLC’s Calverton Energy Center operates a 5 MW/40 MWh BESS, 8 Hour (Lithium Ion Battery) facility, consisting of three (3) lithium-ion battery systems located in an architecturally pleasing battery building with three (3) 2.2 MVA inverters.

Also known as the Calverton Energy Center, it is jointly owned by wholly owned subsidiaries of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC and National Grid. The Calverton Solar Energy Center is located in the hamlet of Calvert in the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, NY. The project consists of a 22.9 MW solar energy center with the commercial energy production facility in Montauk on Long Island, NY.

Montauk Energy Storage is fully operational.
